![]() The vintage line comes with a thicker/fuller C neck than I'm used to on the 339s (including Epi's Slim Taper D), so that was another reason for the purchase. ![]() No weird angle grinder, sanding marks or other signs of relic'ing shortcuts. I like the wormholed wood and acid-finish (hardware) relic job on this "can see the wood grain" guitar. I bought a close-out ASV10a which is, I think from the price and appearance, basically a relic'd AS73 with more PAF-like Classic Elite pickups and a thicker neck. I wanted to try an Ibanez AS size with its 15.75" bout, as I thought the AM's 14.75" bout would be too close to the 339's 14". Already a holder of 339-sized ES (gibson and epi), I wanted to see if a larger form factor would be more satisfying, but something smaller than a 335 with its 16.5" lower bout.
